These trainings reflect the expertise, experience, and voices of CHWs to ensure high-quality, community-rooted learning opportunities.

El Centro Hispano’s Promotores Academy prepares CHWs and Promotores de Salud to lead change in their communities through culturally grounded training, hands-on learning, and a focus on health equity. CHW Violence Prevention Professional
This training empowers Community Health Workers (CHWs) and other violence prevention professionals to build community-based ecosystems that shift social norms, prevent violence, and address unhealthy behaviors. CHW In Real Life (IRL) is a guided, highly interactive workshop designed for individuals entering the Community Health Worker workforce and for CHWs seeking to strengthen or refresh their core skills. Grounded in real-world scenarios and lived experience, this training helps participants apply CHW competencies to everyday practice, deepen understanding of community needs, and strengthen navigation and advocacy skills. Participants leave with practical tools, increased confidence, and an actionable plan for supporting individuals and communities.
