By maintaining active certification, CHWs demonstrate a commitment to high standards of care and remain current with the latest practices. This dedication strengthens credibility with both community members and organizations, ensuring that trust remains at the heart of what makes CHWs essential.<\/p>\n<p>The Renewal Process<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certification with the NCCHWA remains active for 3 years. To renew a certification, a specific number of Contact Hours must be completed.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Contact Hours&#8221; are equivalent to the actual time spent committed to an approved activity. Example: Attending an Advocacy Coalition Meeting with NCCHWA for 1 hour earns 1 contact hour.<\/li>\n<li>Submission Deadline: To be eligible for recertification, all hours and the formal application must be submitted within 60 days of the certification expiration date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tRecertification requires a combination of a minimum of 5 Contact Hours \u2028in each of these categories.\t<\/h2>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tCategor\u00eda I\t<\/h3>\n\t<p><strong>Educaci\u00f3n tradicional<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Definici\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Actos de aprendizaje planificados y organizados dise\u00f1ados para mantener, mejorar o ampliar los conocimientos y habilidades para que el TCS desarrolle nuevos conocimientos y habilidades relevantes para las funciones del TCS del Proyecto C3.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Ejemplos<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Formaciones o seminarios en l\u00ednea que desarrollen sus aptitudes y capacidades como trabajador social de la salud basados en la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c3project.org\/_files\/ugd\/7ec423_cb744c7b87284c75af7318614061c8ec.pdf\">Lista de comprobaci\u00f3n para la revisi\u00f3n de las funciones y competencias de los TCS del Proyecto C3.<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li>Asistencia a la Cumbre CHW de Carolina del Norte<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tCategor\u00eda II\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Lived Experience &amp;\u2028On the Job Training<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Definici\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El conocimiento personal del mundo se adquiere a trav\u00e9s de la participaci\u00f3n directa y de primera mano en los acontecimientos cotidianos y no a trav\u00e9s de representaciones construidas por otras personas.
